Significance of Keyword Density and Placement

If you want that your press release or article optimized by search engine then keyword density and placement both are vital aspects. The method search engine spiders scrutinize a page composes it important to place your keywords where they will be identified as well as recognized. So, article will appear high in the search results when someone searches for that keyword.

Keyword: A keyword is a word or series of words (Phrase) which people search to come across your articles. So, these keywords should be placed in your article several times. If not then every word would be considered a keyword. As a spider detects the same word or phrase numerous times in the article, it will conclude that this article will be useful to users who are searching for those specific keywords.

Keyword Stuffing: Adding too many keywords for numerous times is considered as “keyword stuffing”; and when you “stuff” too many keywords in an article then the spider will suppose that you are trying to trick it into indexing your article higher in the search engine and your page will be penalized. However, this could even affect the rankings of other pages on your website, or worse, it may get your site blacklisted entirely from the search engine.

Keyword Density: Keyword density is the number of times your keyword appears per every one-hundred words. Further, it is common to determine keyword density by using percentages. For example, if you write a 400 word article and you want to get a keyword density of 3%, then your keyword or keyword phrase must appear 12 times. Mostly 2% to 3% keyword density is accepted by many article approval sites. Moreover, keyword density differs from webmaster to webmaster according to the previous results they may have had the most success with.

Keyword Placement: Along with the density, placement of the keyword is also important. More keywords placement at the beginning and the end of the article as these seems to carry more weight with the spiders.
The higher it ranks in the search results, the more it will be seen by potential buyers. Trial and error is really great way that is going to help you decide what the best number is for your blog or website.
